Central Maine FLL Qualifier

We are excited to be hosting the Central Maine FIRST LEGO League qualifier for the second year! It took a lot of work from a lot of amazing volunteers, but we were able to hold a very successful competition with 16 teams from the central and eastern Maine regions taking part.

On Saturday, November 10th, teams from the surrounding area will converge on Searsport District Middle and High School to show off their robots, share their Research Projects, and demonstrate their highest Core Values!

There is still tons of work to do to prepare for this tournament, and we need your help! To learn more about how you can help, keep reading below!

More information for teams, parents, and mentors attending and competing in the tournament will be available at a later date.

Ways You Can Help:

We need at least 60 volunteers to help make this event possible! Many volunteer positions require no experience with robotics, and we can train you for most of the positions that do! Check out our list of the different types of volunteers that we need for the event.

Interested in volunteering? Make sure to let us know!

2. Donate to our Concession Stand!

Concessions are our primary source of revenue for the tournament, which also serves as one of our team's largest fundraisers during the year. From hot dogs and hamburgers, to coffee and drinks, to condiments and sugar packets, and so much more, we need a lot of donations to feed the small army of team members, mentors, parents, spectators, and volunteers that we will all be hosting at this amazing tournament. If you are able to help in some way, from donating food or supplies or baking sweet treats for the bake sale, please let us know!

Food Needs

3. Donate to our Raffle!

We are seeking donations of items for our penny social. We are looking for things like gift cards, toys, electronics, and yes, LEGOs. If you or your business are willing to donate an item or items (must be new and in original packaging), let us know so we can give you the proper credit!

4. Sponsor Our Event!

In addition to donations of food and raffle prizes, we are also seeking event sponsors, which help us cover the costs of food and supplies that we incur for running the event. No matter how you sponsor us, we will make sure to credit you at the event and in the pamphlet that goes out to the teams at and prior to the event. We will also send you a thank you letter with a receipt for the monetary or retail value of your donation, which can be used for tax deduction purposes!
